Consulate General Cleveland

  • This year´s Cleveland Kurentovanje, held for the eleventh time, attracted over 15 thousand visitors from Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Arizona, Washington, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere. The Consulate General of the Republic of Slovenia actively participated in many events, which included culinary, music, sport events, and much more.

  • On February 5 we celebrated Prešeren Day in Cleveland. February 8 marks the anniversary of death of France Prešeren, the greatest Slovenian poet, who died in 1849. This presentation featured Slovenian literature, poetry, and music.

  • On October 21, 2022, the Office for Slovenes Abroad published a Public Tender for tender area B in 2023 - financial support for Slovenes around the world.

  • Another Slovenian Home closes its doors forever in Euclid, Ohio

    Images from today's last event, dancing to the sounds of the Eddy Rodick Orchestra, organized by the Cleveland- style Polka Hall of Fame and Museum in the now already sold Slovenian Society Home in Euclid/Recher Hall, which will close its doors on October 24.
